Linen light falls across a room where a chair stands empty, its shadow laid in pewter on the floor. Someone was here, or will be soon. Empty Chair, Morning is about absence that is not loss: the ordinary pause between presences, the stillness of a room in the first hour of the day, before it is asked to be anything at all.
