About AvaTayana
A collection, not a catalogue
AvaTayana is a private viewing room for a single collection: thirty-six works by AvaTayana Studio, arranged in six series of six and released in chapters. Each work exists once, as one framed print, A4 or smaller. When it has gone to its owner, it is not made again.
We set out to make a small number of images that reward being lived with: works about stillness, restoration, being seen, solitude, belonging and awe. Images you might stand in front of for a minute in the morning, and again, differently, at night.
The studio
Every work in the collection is credited to AvaTayana Studio. The studio conceived the six series, made each image, and decided what each one should be and when it was finished.
How the works are made
We describe every work in the same words, on its page and on its certificate.
Generative digital artwork created by AvaTayana Studio using AI generative software; archival pigment (giclée) print, unique (1/1).
Each work begins with the studio’s idea for a series and for the single image within it. The studio then creates the image using generative software.
Generative software can produce a great many possibilities. The work lies in what is chosen and what is refused. For each image, the studio selected one, and refined its composition, detail and colour until it said what it needed to say.
They are not paintings, not drawn by hand, and not traditional hand-pulled prints. They are not made in editions: each is 1/1. We say this plainly because we think you should know exactly what you are living with.
Why so few, and why so small
Thirty-six is the whole collection. Each image is printed once, at one size.
The works are A4 or smaller because small images ask for a different kind of attention. You do not take them in from across a room. You come close, and they become private.
Who we are
AvaTayana is the trading name of KTechnology Solutions Limited, the company that owns and offers the collection. We sell each work directly to its first owner. You can write to us at ava@avatayana.com.
