Keepsakes
Six still lifes on belonging and the things we hand on. AT-V-1 to AT-V-6.
Medium: Generative digital artwork created by AvaTayana Studio using AI generative software; archival pigment (giclée) print, unique (1/1).
Some objects are worth very little and mean a great deal: a seal, a pressed flower, an old tin, a letter that was never sent, a coin pressed into a child’s hand. Keepsakes gathers them as luminous still lifes, in cream, faded bronze, pewter and sepia, with an accent of faded rose.
The series is about continuity: what is given, kept and given again. Its first work, The Seal, echoes the seal that AvaTayana uses as its own mark, a quiet reminder that a promise is something kept over time. Every object in the series is imagined.
These are the most tender works in the collection. They are about the private archive everyone keeps, of things too small to explain and too important to throw away.
The series opens with The Seal and closes with Grandmother’s Coin.
